What bona-fide TESOL TEFL
accrediting organisations are there?
The following are real and internationally
recognised accreditation organisations that are in turn overseen by government departments:
(in alphabetical order)
- Cambridge Assessment;
- College of Teachers;
- Government accredited universities, colleges or community colleges;
- MEI-RELSA;
- New England Association of Schools and Colleges;
- Trinity College London.
The procedures used by each of these organisations for accrediting and monitoring training institutions offering accredited
TESOL TEFL certification courses differ. However, each one of these accrediting organisations is based on the foundation of educational excellence, therefore they are viewed as equals by ATCC.
As far as this site is concerned, there are no other government overseen accrediting organisations, so if you see a course that is accredited by an organisation that is not on this list, then it is suspect.
