What bona-fide TESOL TEFL accreditation organisations are there?

There are a few prominent accreditation organisations that oversee TESOL TEFL course in many countries around the world. These organisations  are in turn overseen by government departments, thus ensuring their credibility and the credibility and international acceptance of the awards that they accredit.

The procedures used by each of these organisations for accrediting and monitoring training institutions offering their accredited qualifications differ. However, each one of these accrediting organisations is based on the foundation of educational excellence, therefore they are viewed as equals by ATCC.

As far as this site is concerned, there are no other government overseen accrediting organisations, so if you see a course that is accredited by an organisation that is not on this list, then it is suspect.
