About ATCC

The aim of ATCC is to provide you with information about officially accredited TESOL TEFL courses around the world, explain how they will help you get the best jobs and give you tips about how to choose a course.

ATTC's definition of an officially accredited course is one that is accredited by an educational institution that is in turn overseen by an accepted government organisation or government department in an English speaking country.

ATCC is run by Eric James (Bachelor of Education in English language). I have taught English for many years in the UK state school system and also privately working as an EFL teacher. I have helped to design course curriculums and course material used for teaching English in the classroom and also for teacher training courses.

My passion is quality in English language learning which is why I have published this site. I am not a professional web designer so you'll have to forgive the rather clunky nature of this site.

I'm not going to pretend to be the world's leading expert on TESOL TEFL so I hope that fellow quality conscious teaching professionals will also contribute to the site. If you do want to contribute, please go to the contact form.

The site is intended as a source of information, not only written by me, but hopefully by other people interested in promoting quality within TESOL TEFL training and teaching.

ATCC is an English neutral site. I am British but I don't hold with the belief that one English speaking country's English is better than another. My personal opinion is that each country's contribution makes English a rich, powerful and descriptive language.

This site gives equal importance to the official accreditation organisations mentioned on this site. The only people that will disagree with this last statement are usually zealots that have studied with one of them or work for one of them and are convinced that theirs is the best.

So welcome to ATCC. Hopefully it will help some of you with the difficult decisions you'll have to take at the start of your TESOL TEFL career.

Regards and good luck,

Eric
